Visitors with special needs

We are keen to work with you to provide for the needs of all types of public.

In 2013, the Musée d’Aquitaine was awarded a quality label for services provided for the four main disabilities. This label is our guarantee that we can provide an efficient and appropriate welcome for anyone with a disability, whether they are visiting in an individual capacity or as part of a group, in all public areas of the museum.

The Musée d’Aquitaine offers many visits for the public aimed at specific groups. Most of our tours in the permanent collections can be supplemented by a hands-on art or crafts workshop. Reservation required.

Our temporary exhibitions are also accessible, with various adaptations put in place, depending on the topic covered.

To enable us to meet your requirements in the best possible way, we recommend that you contact our accessibility or mediation service before you visit. Our guides can then respond to your needs more effectively: duration of the activity, content of the visit, topic covered and number of participants.
