Partners

The Museum of Aquitaine has numerous partnerships with associations and bodies with which it organises events: major international conferences with the Universities of Bordeaux and the CIRESC (International Centre for Research on Slavery), conferences and screenings with the Archaeological Society, the Mardis de l'Art, the Cervantes Institute and the Goethe Institute, the Rahmi (Aquitaine network for the history and memory of immigration), festival events with Bordeaux's associations relating to the Antilles, Polynesia, Africa, Poland and Romania.

Companies financially support the museum for its major exhibitions or the restoration of works: Thales Avionics "Rugby: A world" (2007), Saint-Gobain and Riedel "The soul of wine sings in the bottles" (2009), Société Touton "Veterans of Africa" (2010), Point P "African Arts. Seeing the Invisible" (2011). In 2004, Crédit Agricole bank financed the restoration of the prestigious "Mezin Jupiter", and in 2012 the BNP Paribas Foundation financed the restoration of the monumental canvases "The Landes forest" by Maurice Roganeau and "Agriculture" by Jean Despujols.
